It's not quiet half an inch fabric it's good but the stripes are a little smaller than I needed.

I washed and tumbled dried the black and white striped cotton fabric that I purchased before cutting out my garment. The quality of the fabric was such that it barely needed ironing. The black did not run into the white. In short, I'm thoroughly impressed.
